Paul, the great apostle, a man like all of us who was chosen by God for a grand mission, thus becoming a giant of thought and spirit who rose above the minds of his time and those of subsequent centuries, almost to the point of being incomprehensible to small human intellects, as the apostle Peter already wrote about Paul's letters: "In them there are some things hard to understand..." (2 Peter 3:16). Endowed with great human and Christian character, Paul was a thinker, preacher, tireless missionary, and church founder. His life embodied and extraordinarily highlighted the truth of the Gospel. He moved among people with an understanding of their problems and a desire to show them a better way. He felt gripped by a great vision and was determined to implant it in the heart of humanity. Dr. Achille A. Caprino was one of the most important members of the Italian-American evangelical community. He met the Lord in 1934, at the age of 19, and from 1938 he began his work of evangelization and teaching among the Italian people. In 1941 he was ordained to the ministry by the Assemblies of God in America and began teaching in their Bible schools, of which he became Superintendent for the Italian branch in 1969. He pastored six Italian churches in America. He completed his studies first at the Reformed Episcopal Seminary, then at Temple University and the American School of Law where he graduated with a law degree. He was the founder and director of the Evangelical Bible Correspondence School.
