What is the point of reading the Bible?
It can be read for information, for edification, and for comfort. All these readings can be useful. However, God's plan revealed in Scripture is not just information or a word of personal comfort. It leads the reader into a much deeper project. The human person is made for a purpose much more significant than personal salvation. Thanks to the covenant with God, there is a people who walk with Him. The biblical pages place this people within an overarching plan that gives it meaning and serves the glory of God.

It therefore traces the broad outlines of biblical revelation, suggesting that there is a Lord capable of giving meaning to life. There is a people in which to live authentic solidarity. There is a project that can finally give man the pride of a true purpose.
