To a parent who criticizes you unfairly? To a colleague who spreads gossip? To a teacher who oppresses you without respect?

The normal reaction to such mistreatment is anger and a desire for revenge. But according to John Bevere, retribution and vengeance are not your prerogatives; they are God's prerogatives.

Watching those who mistreat you seemingly get away with it goes against your natural instinct.

But if you leave justice in God's hands, He promises that:
He will defend and protect you
He will bless you abundantly
You will grow in character and develop spiritual muscles.
When you surrender your right to set things right and instead let God take charge, you put justice in the right hands. You will be freed from the bitterness of resentment and grudges, and you will open your heart to receive more power.
