Fratello Andrea And God Changed His Mind
CAN PRAYER CHANGE GOD’S MIND? According to the Bible, God’s Word, Christians have a rare privilege: through prayer, they can draw so close to God that they can know His thoughts and then… ask Him to change His mind!Brother Andrea challenges Christians to abandon the widespread fatalistic attitude and learn, by following the examples in the Bible, to become truly active children of God who intervene in His plans through prayer.“And God Changed His Mind” teaches that believers, through prayer, can even change the course of history. Moses and Elijah did it, and believers today can do it with the same powerful results. Here are some of the topics covered in these pages:* Who can make God change His mind?* Why would God allow it?* In which cases can we ask Him?

Achille A. Caprino Traveling with Paolo
Paul, the great apostle, a man like all of us who was chosen by God for a grand mission, thus becoming a giant of thought and spirit who rose above the minds of his time and those of subsequent centuries, almost to the point of being incomprehensible to small human intellects, as the apostle Peter already wrote about Paul's letters: "In them there are some things hard to understand..." (2 Peter 3:16). Endowed with great human and Christian character, Paul was a thinker, preacher, tireless missionary, and church founder. His life embodied and extraordinarily highlighted the truth of the Gospel. He moved among people with an understanding of their problems and a desire to show them a better way. He felt gripped by a great vision and was determined to implant it in the heart of humanity. Dr. Achille A. Caprino was one of the most important members of the Italian-American evangelical community. He met the Lord in 1934, at the age of 19, and from 1938 he began his work of evangelization and teaching among the Italian people. In 1941 he was ordained to the ministry by the Assemblies of God in America and began teaching in their Bible schools, of which he became Superintendent for the Italian branch in 1969. He pastored six Italian churches in America. He completed his studies first at the Reformed Episcopal Seminary, then at Temple University and the American School of Law where he graduated with a law degree. He was the founder and director of the Evangelical Bible Correspondence School.

Glashouwer Willem J.J. A Victorious Life
For many, God does not exist. For others, God exists, but has nothing to do with this world and the individuals who inhabit it. Perhaps there is a force, a motor behind the processes of history and creation. But a personal God? That concept of God slowly faded after the atrocities of recent centuries. Science and technology have taken its place. But will they be able to save the world? To save our lives? To instill peace and happiness in us? The Christian faith claims to be a source of liberation and redemption. A source of inner freedom. But is there a truly free life? A daily life full of energy, power, enthusiasm, a life of “wow”? And if it exists, how do we make it our own? The author wants to show, based on the Bible, that it is indeed possible to face life from a perspective of victory. It is not a utopia, but a promise of the Bible!

Rinaldi Giancarlo - Wesley John On free grace on predestination
Two Sermons on God's Purpose. In two sermons, delivered under different circumstances, John Wesley dwells on the doctrine of predestination. The topic held theological, evangelistic, and pastoral interest. The doctrine of a divine decree of election (and, therefore, also of condemnation) preceding all human behavior seemed to undermine the work of God's saving grace, which was to be understood as offered to all. Furthermore, the connected teaching of man's inability to change the assigned destiny invalidated responsibility in perseverance. Here Wesley expounds the scriptural teaching of 'prevenient' grace.

Stewart Cecil Salvation-Booklet
The Bible reminds us that we are all lost like sheep; that sins have separated us from God, and therefore we have neither relationship nor communion with Him. Our Heavenly Father, however, has always desired to have a relationship with His creation and has bridged the gap that separated us from Him by giving us His only Son to pay the price for our sins.

Watchman Nee No Longer I But Christ
What does true Christian life consist of?There are often prejudices against books on Christian life due to the many moralistic treatises found in our religious literature. In contrast, here we have a series of meditations and studies on Christian life, presented in a lively, profound, and modern way. Nothing is given to sentimentalism or pietistic exhortation: taking the first eight chapters of Paul's epistle to the Romans as a guide, the author leads us step by step to an ever more intimate and full understanding of the true nature of Christian life. The constant affirmation of the incurable corruption of human nature, the application to every aspect of spiritual life of the great principle of justification by faith, the denial of the value of any purely external activism, place this book in line with Paul's thought. The reading is easy and quick, both due to the author's extremely clear and simple style and the discursive form of the volume. In fact, it is a reproduction of delivered messages, which retain all the immediacy and freshness of the living word, without losing any of their theological depth.
