Suzy Dind, born in French-speaking Switzerland, contracted polio at a very young age and had to spend many months in bed suffering. With great courage and faith, with superhuman efforts, she was slowly able to resume an almost normal existence. Because of this, she had to abandon her teaching career to dedicate herself to office work. Since childhood, she has been interested in literature, and at the age of 24, she published her first book titled "At the Cost of Losing Everything." This book achieved enormous success due to its clear style and the extraordinary truthfulness of the diary, which is not a literary fiction, but a passionate and real description of a young woman's struggles.
