For us at EUN – Edizioni Umanità Nuova, it was a precious opportunity to recount the journey of a publishing house that has its roots in a history that began in 1964 with Giuseppe Laiso and now looks to the present with new languages and new tools.
EUN was born from the conviction that books are not just means of informing, but tools capable of speaking to people's lives. Books that question, accompany, and open up profound inquiries into identity, faith, hope, and the meaning of existence.
The report highlighted our desire to safeguard a great editorial heritage while simultaneously making it accessible through contemporary channels: social media, podcasts, digital content, and new communication paths.
Publishing works of Christian inspiration today is both a mission and a challenge for us: a mission, because we believe in the value of the message we carry forward; a challenge, because it means overcoming clichés and prejudices, speaking to a transversal audience made up of people seeking real answers.
This new season of EUN is also represented by two iconic titles: “The Cross and the Switchblade” by David Wilkerson, a work that has influenced generations with over 15 million copies sold, and “Your Life Is God’s Story” by Tim Dilena, pastor of the Times Square Church in New York.
Two different books, but united by the same thread: telling stories capable of enlightening, forming, and transforming.
In a time rich in information but often poor in meaning, our desire is to continue publishing books that are not merely read, but that can become encounters, questions, and answers. Books for the mind, but above all for the soul.
