Over 160 children and young people from Haiti, Uganda, the Holy Land, Camerino, and Rione Sanità joined their voices together in the Senate of the Republic. A meeting dedicated to hope, dialogue, and the construction of a shared future.
Yesterday, hope entered the Senate.
And it had more than 160 voices.
On the occasion of the ABF Global Gathering, children and young people from Haiti, Uganda, the Holy Land, Camerino, and Rione Sanità brought different stories, cultures, and paths into the Senate of the Republic, transforming them into a single, extraordinary harmony.
Alessandro Iovino hosted the meeting together with Serena Autieri, in the presence of Senator Lucio Malan.
To conclude the day, Ilaria Di Vaio, Editorial Director of Eun, entrusted the room with a letter dedicated to the young people and to a word that cannot just be spoken, but must become a responsibility:
“Hope is not a word to be spoken.
It is not a desire to be awaited.
It is something that is built.
Every day.”
Those voices reminded us that harmony is not born when differences are erased, but when everyone puts who they are at the service of something greater.
And that the future does not only begin in places where important decisions are made.
It begins when a child discovers they have a voice and understands that this voice can create bonds, make someone feel less alone, and make the world a little better than they found it.
This is the image we will carry with us: many voices, one body, a hope to be built together.
Because every voice is important.
